I am going to give you simple explanation, WIFI antenna is designed to send signals equally in all directions but placing a metal cage or grid on one side makes it half of signals bounce to other side thus making signal strength double, like Dish Antenna does
Very genius of who though of it
ReplyDeleteis ttat effective??
ReplyDeleteYes
Deletecan you explain me, how and why the metal can make increased signal be strength?
ReplyDeletenot the metal , the reflection of the signal

DeleteIt wont actually increase them, just focus them into a chosen direction, but that doesn't mean, that there wont be wifi behind the can.
ReplyDeleteya exactly bro i too agree , thus we can make such other modules for remaning directions with a modified pattern
DeleteDo not work... I have tried.
ReplyDeleteits just like a transmitting dish antenna with a unidirection signaling so you hv to place your device in that way
DeleteTry Iron metal or other metal sheet instead of Aluminium
Deleteits a unidirectional so we need some other modules with a modified pattern so as to make transmission in rest of the directions
